Spring is arriving and there are plenty of reasons that your vehicle needs cleaned. Salt, sand, mud, and who knows what else has accumulated on the interior and exterior of your vehicle during the last few months. Like all spring cleaning chores you need to overcome any excuses that pop into your mind.
Exterior
The exterior of your vehicle takes a beating during the winter months. Ice melt and sand can corrode the clear coat, plastics, and metals of your vehicle.

Depending on the type of wheels you have this process could involve a variety of chemicals and polishing tools. The best way to prevent further corrosion is to polish your wheels and remove all the current damage.
Interior 
Salt, and sand are two of the biggest culprits to deal with after winter months. The carpet in your vehicle and cloth seats seem to attract and hid the salt and sand buildup over the winter. A vacuum will not be able to deep clean and pull out all the contaminants in this material. An extractor / shampooer will effectively pull out salt and sand buildup. This process involves using a chemical that will clean, and remove moderate stains. One the chemical is applied and agitated the extractor will suck up all the contaminates from your carpets and seats.
After cold temperatures and high amounts of moisture, leather seats will need some care. The winter months can dirty leather seats and cause them to become brittle. Leather cleaning and conditioning is a must in spring cleaning your vehicle. The process removes moderate contaminates on the surface using a chemical that will not damage the leather. Once the leather is clean a conditioner is applied that will soften the leather and protect it.
